12/20/09                Merry Christmas From Dennis and Tami - Spirit of Glory Ministries

Christ Born of Mary; Luke 2:1-20

1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,
[a] who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Glory in the Highest

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
[c]

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely
[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

12/01/09               The Blessed State of the Righteous,  Psalm 112
 1 Praise the LORD!

Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.

 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
 3
Wealth and riches will be in his house,
         And his righteousness endures forever.
 4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
 5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.
 6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
 7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
 8
His heart is established;
         He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

 9 He has dispersed abroad,
         He has given to the poor;
         His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted with honor.
 10
The wicked will see it and be grieved;
         He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.

11/01/09                              Curse on our Viet Nam Vets

Side note: During SOZO training with a team from Bethel, we were made aware of 3 Buddhist curses that were spoken over our troops during the Viet Nam war. The curses were as followed:

·         That the American soldiers would become wandering men and women for the rest of their lives.

·         That they would never find peace.

·         That they would be angry men and women for the rest of their lives.

This really fits with what we are seeing Under the Bridge, this has been a great opportunity to help our Viet Nam vets be set free.  For more information see; http://www.abetterhope.com/war/curse.html

A word of knowledge was given about a veteran who was suffering from post combat stress disorder.  We announced the word from the front and anyone suffering from this should come forward as God wanted to heal them.  For two hours no one came forward but as we were at the book table a man approached Dennis and Pete looking at books.  Each time we would move to adjust books on the table he would flinch (shellshock).  We asked if he would like prayer and he said yes.  Inside the prayer tent he told us his name was Donald and he began to open up that he suffered from post combat stress disorder and he had been a prisoner of war for several years.

Each time we moved our hands or attempted to touch him he would become paranoid and pull back violently.  He continually warned us not to move quickly or make gestures towards him.  It became so bad that we would need to tell him when we were lifting our hands or readjusting our hand position.  He said he was a Christian but he had suffered from this for some time now.  We told him about the Buddhist curses that were placed on the Viet Nam Vets. We asked if he wanted to be set free of the curses, Donald said yes. We then asked him if we could lay hands on him and pray for his deliverance.  He stood and asked us to wait as he prayed for guidance.  When he sat back down he said the Lord told him we belonged to Him and he could trust us and we were safe.  For the next half hour we began to pray, to bind and break the hold that Satan had upon Donald, part of the process is forgiveness of the nation that shunned and abandoned him, also we asked for forgiveness as a nation.

After about 30 minutes Donald was set free.  He got up and began to hug everyone around him.  He hugged Dennis, Pete, Tami, Tina and anyone else who would stand still for more than two seconds.  It was the most dramatic transformation we have ever witnessed.  Donald had been completely and totally set free.

The really cool thing that happened was 2 months later and we had not seen Donald and were wondering how he was doing; then there he was walking around the grounds at CUTB; we made eye contact and Donald came running toward me, yelling my name and gave me a great big hug, that was awesome.  He was truly set free; all the bondage and curses are gone, Donald is a free man.

9/25/09                                     The Message Hasn't Change

I had an encounter with God recently.  As with all encounters with God, it was really an awesome time.  I was heading to a meeting when I received a call that this particular meeting had been cancelled so I headed back home.

I was driving south on I-35 in Texas when I heard God say; “Pull over.”   I looked around to take note as to where I was but nothing seemed to stand out.   I came upon an exit and felt I was supposed to take it so I did.  As I approached the stop sign I asked the LORD if I was suppose to take the road to the left and He said; “No” (there was no road extending to the right).   So I traveled the side road of the highway and shortly heard God say again; “Pull over.”   I took notice as to where I heard His voice and along a wire fence to my right were sheep.    Of course I was driving rather fast so I had to slow down, stop and back up to where the sheep were.  I sat there in my car watching the sheep and kept waiting to hear His voice again but there was silence.   So I sat there watching the sheep wondering what this was all about; pondering Scripture and pressing in to hear His voice again.   Then He spoke….  He asked me what I saw.   I told him the sheep.   He asked, “What is in front of you?”   I saw a really nice-looking tree.   He said; “Now look beyond the tree.”   When I did I saw a whole field of sheep.   There were bushes and trees all around but now I could see the sheep among the rest of nature.  I noticed how they blended in until I focused.   I then heard Him say; “Feed my sheep.”    I wasn’t sure if that was Him at first or if that was just Scripture I was remembering.   I sat a few minutes more and it was quiet again so I drove off asking the LORD what exactly He wanted me to do.

A little ways down the road, again I hear; “Pull over.”   Once again there were sheep; three sheep not far off the road behind a wire fence.    I stopped and this time got out of my car.  I stood on the side of the road just watching the sheep.   I asked the LORD; “What is it You are trying to get me to understand?”    I heard again’ “Feed my sheep”   This time I knew it was from Him.   He then said; “Look at them, what do you see?”   They were eating.   He had me take note of how they were eating.    One nearest the fence would strive to put his head through the wire to reach the tall reeds on the other side of the fence.   The other one never lifted his head; just steadily ate all he could.   The little lamb was hovering over a small sandy area eating the tiny weeds that were there.    The LORD then said; “My sheep are hungry, they are really hungry.  They are ready.   Feed my sheep.”   I just began to cry realizing what He was showing me and then saw the other sheep in the field farther off coming out in the open.  There were a lot of them.    The last thing I heard Him say was; “My message has not changed; it is still the same.   Feed my sheep.”    There I was standing on the side of the road, crying my eyes out, realizing once again, there are so many out there that still do not know His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.     I took some pictures of the sheep, got in my car and headed home once again.

As I drove home, I talked with the LORD and thought about the fact that we are in the days Joel spoke about; an outpouring of the Holy Spirit; Joel 2:“I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”

He shared with me some responsibilities I have and He warned me about allowing His signs, wonders and miracles to become entertainment.   He reminded me that either the signs, wonders, and miracles would manifest to bring attention to His Son, or they would follow those who believe in His Son.   We must remember, JESUS!    He is the only One, the only Way, He is the truth and the life….John 14: 6 says that no one gets to our Father God except through Jesus.

8/7/09                                  Trust in the LORD!!!

Recently I have been faced with a spiritual dilemma… I have a wonderful friend who is also a mighty Prophetess of the Lord and she is dying of cancer.   She is powerful, brilliant, strong, and obedient to the Lord.   To me it seems she has so much more to do here on earth, but as I headed towards the hospital to visit her, as I contemplated how to approach, how to pray, I kept feeling, hearing that it will not be long, that the LORD was taking her home.    In my heart I feel it is not her time, is it my heart or my spirit?   I had a vision of her lying on the hospital bed and above her heaven opened up and the brightest light, that I cannot even explain the fullness of with adequate words, came down from heaven upon her and surrounded her.  It was a beautiful scene and she was in pure white.  It seemed to mean she was heading home to meet Jesus face to face but I dream it to mean that it was His glory healing her.   These past few years, I have listen to teachings and preaching by wonderfully faithful and anointed men and women of God, who believe with all their heart that God wants all healed, everyone, without exception it seems.   Yet here she is, dying of this horrible disease which has ravished her body but has not taken her mind, heart, or spirit.  What are we missing?  What is it that we need to minster to her spirit to arise?   Why is she still laying there?   She has declared the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord and continues to do so.  Her husband has declared the same and stands by her side with strength and a peace that just brings awe to the mind.   They have ministered to hundreds while seeing the LORD touch, heal, love.  He listens to the Lord and hears Him say that even though she will no longer be by his side they will still continue to work together.  She will be seated in the Heavenly places and will be used by the Lord to continue to do mighty works here on earth with the husband who was faithful to her and is staying faithful to the Lord.   I get my mind settled that I have seen her alive for the last time but then here it is another day and she is still breathing, still smiling when her precious husband speaks the name of Jesus.   Is it her time?   If not, what is it we are missing?   The Lord says to; 15He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16   Matthew 10:8; “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely you give.”

I know we do not understand our Father’s ways.   I know His thoughts are so much deeper and higher than our own.  ( Isaiah 55:9)  Still I would love to understand this.  I would love to know. Proverbs 3:5-6 says; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”

Her husband is being such a light to the hospital, ministering to the nurses, the doctors, the staff –the ladies at the desk, the cafeteria workers, and the janitorial staff.  He even was asked to speak at a hospital meeting which all the big guys were attending.   He is releasing the love of the Lord and His goodness all over and all around them.   Is this the purpose for her lingering on?  All those who need to know our Jesus; our Father God, His Holy Spirit and all that is available to them now.   What a witness these two are to them!   She who has accepted only the smallest amount of pain medication to be comfortable and still praying when she can and he who stands by her side day and night except when the Lord leads him to touch the life of another.   Is this the purpose or are we to battle on, forge ahead, declaring and commanding her healing?  Do I give up hope for her life or do I fight with fierce strength for her life?

I prayed as I left the hospital the other day for the Lord to either take her or heal her without delay because it seemed senseless to leave her lying in that bed.  How did her lying there in that state bring Him glory?  How could her ravished body do anything at this point unless she was miraculously, totally healed?   Then I see her husband who continues to walk faithful with the Lord even in these dark and troubled hours.

I think I cannot stop hoping.  I cannot give up.  Even though I have feel I heard from the Lord on this matter, I will contend for her life until He takes it.  1 Thessalonians 5: “16(Rejoice always;  17pray without ceasing;  18in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Pray, Obey, Trust

7/7/09                                   This may appear bold or even arrogant, but is it?

The Kingdom or our Father God is it not our Kingdom too?

Are we not heirs of His Kingdom?  Are we not children of God, whether Jew or Gentile, being grafted in to the family as one in unity?

When I began thinking of this; caring for the Kingdom took on a deeper meaning for me.

Think about it…think about your family (Dad, Mom, Siblings, Husband, children-whatever the case may be), relatives (Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephew), your home, your car, your possessions.    Do you not care for these in special ways?   Do we not provide for them, protect them and defend them?  Do we not have a measure of pride toward them?  Not a haughty attitude but a correct level of respect for their importance; a good kind of pride; wanting only the best for each - wanting to release or give the best that is in our power and ability to each of them.   Do we not keep it up, repairing areas that need repair, tending to each as needed?  If this is not the case for us then we need to take a good look at it because it should be!  And if we are not doing this in our earthly home, how will we accomplish this in the Kingdom?

Should we not feel the same about the Kingdom of God?   Should we not care for it, tend to it, protect it, and defend it?   Should we not have pride in the Kingdom?   Should we not do our very best to provide all that we can with the ability and power we have to see that the Kingdom is upheld and blessed?   And what about our brothers and sisters in Christ and the ones who have been our spiritual fathers and mothers, should we not take responsibility for them, seeing to their needs?

Isn’t this what we teach and expect of our children; the home we purchase is a family home; all members of the family have responsibilities to care for this home.   Why would we think God sees this any differently?

Think about it!

6/17/09                                            You Are No Accident!

No matter how you came to be…You Matter!   God created you and HE created you for a purpose.  “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God HE created him; male and female HE created them.” Genesis 1:27  “For this is what the LORD says-HE who created the heavens, HE is God; HE who fashioned and made the earth, HE founded it; HE did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited- HE says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.””  Isaiah 45:18  HE formed the earth to be inhabited by you and me.

I know of one who was conceived by rape.  She is beautiful and kind and has a heart as big as Texas.  She goes out of her way to help others.  When I gave this some thought, I wondered if God had already chosen the mother to bare this child or the father’s seed.  I know this was not God’s original plan for the birthing of His children but unfortunately sin slithered in by way of temptation and God’s plans were not destroyed but altered a bit.  I do not have all the answers and find I sometimes have a lot more questions than answers but what I do know is that she is not an accident.  Births that are results from rape or by unwed mothers are not accidents.  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5  “As you do not know the path of the wind, or  how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.”  Ecclesiastes 11:5  “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways.” Declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”  Isaiah 55:8-9

God created all beings and knows them before they are in their mother’s womb and God does not make mistakes.  “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place; when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.” Psalm 139:13-15

When God set in motion all creation and HE gave all authority to man until Adam handed it over to Satan.  BUT, Jesus came as man and through His death and resurrection He took that authority back.   “Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18  Satan is no longer in authority here and Jesus has passed that authority back to you, to me, to us. Matthew 10:1; Luke 10:1-23

Yes, HE created you to walk in this authority.  HE created you to be wonderful.  HE created you for greatness.  “Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the LORD.  “Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?” says your God.  What is your purpose?  If you have not figured this out by now, ask HIM.  HE sends His angels to guide you in all your ways.   Psalms 23:3; 25:5,9;48:14.  HE will answer you and show you.  Seek Him first!  HE will share with you what you need to know and more.  There are others who need what you were created for.

God Does Not Make Mistakes and He Causes No Accidents!

You have been planned, destined, purpose and chosen by the will of God.

6/2/09                                                               God is Good all the time!

There are many who do not believe this statement.

God is good and HE is good all the time.   HE can be nothing but good.   Jesus tells us in Luke 18… “18A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"  19"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.”  God is good!

When God created Adam and Eve HE told them “be fruitful and multiply”.  HE wanted them to enjoy creation.  The only thing HE told them not to do was: Genesis 2:  “15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."  HE tells them this to protect them.  HE wants them to delight in all they have; all that HE has created for them.

But the enemy came along to destroy this.   The serpent, the devil himself, approached Eve with temptation and she took the bite.  She tempted Adam and he bit; their eyes were opened and they saw.  (Genesis 3: 1 – 7)

God is good, the devil is bad….In John 8 Jesus says the devil is a murderer and a liar and the father of lies.   He lied to Eve and she believed.   Then she and Adam knew.   God gave them all they needed; for HE supplied them with abundance.  They lacked nothing yet they wanted more.   God designed us to desire more; more of HIM and HIS goodness.  The enemy came and tempted EVE with that desire for more of God telling her that if she ate of the fruit she would be more like God.

God created the garden and set man and woman in it for a glorious life with HIM but the enemy came to steal all that away.  Jesus tells us in John 10: “10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…”  This thief is the enemy, the devil and all he sends to do his dirty work.

God is good, all the time.   He told Adam not to eat of this special tree because it did bear wisdom and knowledge; it releases the knowing of good and evil and HE, God, did not want them to be under this.   Solomon shares why... in Ecclesiastes 1:18 he says “Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.”  God wanted to spare us all from this grief and pain.   But sin entered in by this one act of disobedience and brought with it much grief and much pain to a world God created to be a paradise.

BUT…God is good and what was meant for evil or harm by the enemy, God uses it in order to bring about good for those who trust in HIM. Romans 8:28  28And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

From God’s goodness enters Jesus to a dying world heading straight to the pit of hell.   God sent HIS Son, Jesus Christ, to deliver us from this end.  Jesus came to bring us life and to show us how to live it now more abundantly.  He came to make a way, the only way, to live eternity with God in HIS love.

Sin entered by one act of disobedience and sin is destroyed by one act of obedience.

God is good; there is no other way to see HIM.

5/2/09                                                       Simplicity

I got the word “simplicity” during a pre-service meeting.  I asked God what that means.  He said, I have made everything simple.  Salvation is simple, prayer is simple, healing is simple and deliverance is simple.

Sometimes we tend to make things too complicated; when God made it simple He meant it to be simple.  Just look at how simple He has made it for us:

Salvation:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Simple - Call on the name of Jesus and you will be saved.

Prayer:

Prayer is nothing more than having a conversation with God, our Father.  The good news is God is available 24/7, year after year.  That is really simple!

Healing:

Matthew 8:13
Then Jesus said to the centurion, "
Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.

Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned and saw her. "
Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

Mark 6:56
And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.

Acts 3:6
Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk."

Simple – With the name of Jesus, faith and authority from Jesus we can be dangerous people that do great damage to the “kingdom of darkness”.  Sometimes a simple word, touch and the Love of God is all that is needed.

Deliverance:

Matthew 8:16
When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.

Matthew 17:18
Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment

Acts 8:6-8 (New King James Version)

6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city.

In simple words spoken with authority and testimonies we see people healed and delivered.  It is not the length of the prayer; it is the power behind it!

It is our belief and faith that produces miracles. We have seen the atmosphere change with simple prayer and God moves and shows His Love.  People get healed, delivered and saved.

Don’t think this is something you cannot do; that is a lie from the “father of all lies”, Satan.  As His sons and daughters, HE (our Father) has given us the authority and power to heal the sick cleanse the leapers, raise the dead and cast out demons as commissioned by Jesus in Matthew 10:8.  Our commissioning took only one verse, which is simplicity.

With faith in God all things are possible!

4/9/09                                                      Resurrection Sunday

Wednesday at sundown began Passover.  Jesus broke bread with His disciples sharing a Passover meal with them; “The Last Supper”.  They drank from the cup together.  Then He was in the garden; He was betrayed; He was captured; He was tortured; Jesus went to the cross.

For you!

You were worth it!

You were worth it all!

Can you totally grasp that?   You were worth it all!

Every harsh tongue, every bit of humiliation, every lash He took, every rip of the flesh, every poke from the thorns, each nail in His hands and feet, the pierce of the sword, every drop of blood, the separation from the Father…

All the sin, all the diseases, all the shame…

Jesus went through it all.

You were worth it!

Do you believe Him?  Do you believe in His name?

Have you surrendered all to Him?

He surrendered all for you!

Do not forget Jesus in this season.

Repent!   Confess!  Be baptized!

Turn away from any sin in your life that He is revealing to you.

Confess that He, Jesus Christ, is Lord.

Be baptized (if not yet) by water and by fire of the Holy Spirit.

Celebrate!  Praise Him!  Worship Him!

You were worth it all and He has risen to prepare a place for you; He is interceding for you…

He continues to move on your behalf.

Isn’t He worth your all?

You were!

You are!

May He bless you and keep you; may He shine His face upon you.  May He be gracious to you and lift His countenance on you.  May He give you peace.

3/8/09                           That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.

God’s Spirit Poured Out

Joel 2:28-30 and 32

28 “ And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on my maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30 …Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
32 And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.

Joel wrote this prophecy about 3,000 years ago and we are now seeing the unfolding of this today; in a time that is called “End Times” or “Last Days”.

I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh”, this is a releasing from God of the Holy Spirit.  The releasing of His Spirit will occur; ”Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD”, just before the Rapture.

Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy”; remember God did not stop talking when the Bible was completed, He has never stopped talking to us, His Children. In fact, God is always talking to us we just have to listen to hear Him.   He gives us Words of Knowledge, Words of Wisdom and Prophetic Words.  As His Children, we can release the Prophetic Words He gives us to lift or encourage others and to speak into their destiny or about their future.

Your young men shall see visions”; we are seeing many experiencing visions, open-eye visions and Third Heaven experiences.  As His Spirit is poured out, the supernatural will happen, prophetic visions, some taken to Father-God’s Throne Room, visions of Jesus and visions of Angels. This is awesome and it will only get better.

Your old men shall dream dreams”; we are hearing confirmed reports all around the world about Muslims accepting Jesus as their Savior, after having dreams where Jesus visits them in their dream and tells them that He Loves and wants them.  The Out-Pouring is affecting everyone.

whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved”; If you are not experiencing the manifestation and the fullness of God’s presence, like prophetic dreams, prophetic vision or a supernatural encounters, you might want to examine your relationship with the only one that saves, Jesus.  Those that study Bible prophecy believe that Jesus could come at any moment.  If Jesus called His Saints (Believers) home right now, would you be one of them?  Make sure that you know, here is a link that will help you.

2/6/09                                                    Testimonies are Eternal

They are Tangible and They Have Life

During my early church days I was, and maybe you were, taught that God does not perform miracles anymore.   All miracles that we read about in the Bible supposedly came to a halt when the last Apostle died (the last of the original twelve); no more miracles.  Well, I have good news for you; God is alive and He does miracles every day and more importantly He has always done miracles.  Why do you think Jesus gave us (you and me) all authority to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons (Matthew 10:8).  And, commission us to carry this out to all nations Matthew 28:18-20 (And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to)the end of the age.").  Miracles were not just for the Apostles of Jesus’ day; they are for us too, Right Now, Today!  We were given all Authority and Power, when we accepted Jesus as our Savor.  We are saved by the Blood of Jesus and when that happened we received the whole package, called “Kingdom Benefits”.  With that we have salvation, divine health and deliverance from the evil one.  We are carriers and brokers of His Kingdom that has no end.  Since His Kingdom has no end, then miracles did not stop, we just did not embrace them and use what He gave us; Kingdom Authority and Power.  God does not go backward; only forward!  As we embrace the Kingdom benefits and use this Kingdom Authority and Power we will see Signs, Wonders and Miracles.  God wants us to use this like He did with Jesus (our perfect role model), the apostles and the others we read about in the New Testament.  I must add; we are called to accept the commission in obedience but most importantly, we must seek, desire, and nurture a relationship with Him.  As we do, all these things will follow.

Let’s talk about Miracles of Today; Miracles Spirit of Glory has witnessed or has been a part of over the past 2 years:

Heart Healed, no surgery: Jim then shared the difficulties he was going through.  He told us he was having trouble breathing and his heart had been racing.  He said they had put a temporary pace maker in his chest with a surgery scheduled for a permanent pace maker.   Dennis gave his testimony of how God healed his heart of CHF as well as damage from a stroke.  Dennis then asked Jim if we could pray for him.  Dennis began and then each of us shared words for Jim; all the while the temperature in the room rose immensely.  We also had the privilege to pray for his wife, Mary.   Both Jim and Mary were touched deeply.   Jim said he felt warm and a little better. Well, two days later Fred gets word from Mary and shares the news that Jim was doing much better; that the scheduled surgery had been cancelled and he was released from the hospital.   We saw Jim and Mary the following Sunday in church and he said he was feeling fine believing that God had done what we asked Him to do.  Jim is healed!!! J  Glory to God!

Healed From Broken Bones in Wrist: She was explaining that the doctors said she broke all the small bones in her wrist and that she had to wear the brace constantly until healed.  She said it was hot and uncomfortable and that her wrist and hand were still in a lot of pain.  I asked God to open an opportunity to pray for her.  It was not easily available because in this particular class we work one on one with the students.  But God is so faithful, He allowed her and I to be on the playground together.  This young lady came over to me and put her hand in front of me saying it was really hurting and uncomfortable.  I laid my hand on hers and told her I was sorry that it was hurting her and in my head began praying for the Lord to touch her.   She pulled her hand back and said “wow, it is tingling, would you do that again?”  I laid my hand back on hers and this time asked the Lord audibly to heal her hand.  She said it felt warm and really tingly.   She pulled off the brace and began moving her fingers and said she had not been able to do that for several weeks now, then she took her thumb and touched each one of her fingers and said she had not been able to move her thumb without pain, but there was no pain now.  She was so excited, asked me to pray again and then thanked me for praying for her.  I just told her that it was just Jesus showing her how much he loves her.  She smiled.

Harry at 83 healed from Cancer: I just returned from a visit with my oncologist who gave me an update on my Cat Scan of March the 3rd.  It appears that all the nodules witnessed in my previous three Cat Scans have disappeared.  She was quite confused about this and is requesting an addendum to the report focusing on that area.  My oncologist appeared to be confused about my progress and has scheduled me for an additional Cat Scan in mid-July.

God bless you, one and all!

Harry

Beverly Healed from Stage 4B cancer:

Letter from Bill:

I can’t thank you both enough for your concern, your prayers, and your positive belief that Beverly could survive her Stage 4B cancer.   The doctors gave her a 10-15% chance to survive three years – and she has beaten those odds handily.  According to yesterday’s test results, she is cancer-free.  I’m a positive person who believes in miracles, but I’ve had some doubts along the way, because her case had been so dire.  Again, bless your heart for your prayer circle.  Chalk up another win for the power of prayer.

Delivered from alcohol and drugs:

Testimony from Nancy: I have to tell you what happened to me since Sept.  I am delivered from alcohol and drugs and I straighten out and finally in July got a permanent position with great benefits. So I go to the doctor for blood pressure meds b/c of my weight gain.  The doctor wrote the prescription for Norvacs and when i dropped it off at the pharmacy they read it wrong and thought it said Norco which is generic hydro codeine. I sorta thought that was funny when I looked at the bottle but thought that is what the doctor ordered. So then another refill in Nov. I called the doctor one day and asked if I could get a higher dose b/c my blood pressure is still really high. They said you are on the highest dosage. I carefully watched what i ate. Complained of dizziness which I thought came along with the menopause. Whoa is me!  So the refill last week was to call the doctor and when they called the pharmacy that is how we found out I was on pain killers! The nurse had called me and

asked me why I was talking pain killers and i said that is what it says on the bottle!  So then pharmacy waived the new blood meds and I talked to the corporate office. I have heard of that happening and it happened to me. BUT the best news is that I got the Victory because Satan hits us in our weakest spots and I am not addicted and nothing happened to me! Praise God!  He is good!

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Healed: Letter Form Amanda:

In early May 2007 my vision suddenly went double. I went to the eye doctor and they told me that my left eye's outer muscle wasn't working properly.

They weren't sure what was causing it, so they ordered some blood tests and an MRI. I called my dad in TX, who is currently working with Dennis and Tami from Spirit of Glory, and told him what was happening. He told me that they would pray for my eye. In the meantime I went to get my MRI. My eye was about 95% better within 6 days and 100% better within 10 days.

My doctors were surprised by this because double vision usually doesn't heal itself that quickly. But, my MRI came back and my eye doctor as well as my general doctor told me I was in the beginning stages of Multiple Sclerosis and that they wanted me to go to a neurologist who could diagnosis what type of MS I had.  Once again I told my dad, and he said Dennis and Tami were still praying for me.   I went to the neurologist about three weeks later and she shockingly told me she didn't think I had MS.

My blood tests all came back normal and so did my second MRI. Now I have to get 2 spinal MRI's.  I do believe in the power of prayer and am so very grateful for wonderful people like Dennis and Tami to help people in need. Words can't express how thankful I am to them for helping my health come back to normal.

Thank you! God Bless!

Leg Injury Healed: On one Sunday after Church we went to a local restaurant for lunch.  Shortly after we had arrived a young man, his wife and his mother were seated at the table next to us.  He was walking with the assistance of a cane  and was in great pain (as it turned out the cane belonged to his mother).  As he was sitting down we asked him what was wrong with his leg.  He indicated that he injured his leg running a marathon and was planning to see his doctor on Monday, that was why he was using his mother's cane.  We then asked him if we could pray for God to heal his leg, and he said yes.

We laid hands on him and asked God to heal his leg.  After prayer we asked him how his leg felt and he said it felt better and there was no more pain.  We asked him to use his leg without the cane and walk around, as he did he said "Wow, there is no pain" and he could walk with out any assistance.  He sit down and all continued with lunch.

When he was finished with lunch he thanked us and proceeded up a hill out of the restaurant, walking with his wife while his mother was carrying her cane, he didn't need it any longer; because he was healed by the healing touch of God.

Tumor Gone: During a conference in Nepal the missionary we were traveling with was calling out different ailments and diseases, as he called them out, we prayed for the people in the congregation to be healed.  Close to the end of the conferences a lady came running forward.   She kept touching her neck exclaiming; "I am healed, it is gone, I am healed.".  When we inquired of what it was she had been healed of  she said she had a large tumor on her neck and now it is gone.  The gentleman, one of the men of that church, came forward with her to verify the tumor had been there when she walked in.  God is good!  He healed her!

God Deals in Threes: The last night of Bill Johnson conference at Church of the Hills, words of knowledge were called during the healing session, including "lower back injury", eye issues and carpal tunnel and along with many others.  One of our friends had all three of these.  She had cataracts, tail bone injury from 30 years ago and carpal tunnel in both arms.  A group of us laid hands on her prayed for her for each injury.  After prayer we had her test her eyes, arms and tail bone and all three were healed.  God is good!  After the conference her husband said it looks like he got a new wife (in jest).

Asthma Healed: A lady came forward for prayer; she had asthma, bronchitis and almost no energy. She was anointed with oil, hands were laid upon her and God was asked to release His healing power on her.  Just a few moments later she was feeling better and later that day she was totally healed and full of energy.  This is Kingdom Power, praise God

Heart Healed: Another testimony; from a lady who had a heart condition that required surgery; after being prayed over by several people, she said she felt better.  She said she had an appointment with her doctor the following week.  She went to see her doctor and after the examination her doctor told her that the heart issue she had was gone and she did not need surgery.  Again, This is Kingdom Power, praise God

Revelation 19:10
… For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

Whenever we hear or see or witness a miracle it is an invitation from God to do it again!  Remember that testimonies are eternal and are tangible, when we use any testimony not just these above; all testimonies have power.  When we know someone that needs a miracle, perhaps even you, use these testimonies because they have life and power. Declare the testimony that fits your needs and ask God, to do it again.  Our Father God is so faithful and He loves you and wants only the best for His Children.   That is why He sent His Only Son, Jesus, so that we will all the benefits He died for.

Do you know anyone that needs miracles… For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

1/31/09                   Attitudes are Expressed in How we Behave

How do you feel about God?

What is your attitude towards Him?

We know that attitudes are expressed in how we behave.   How are you behaving with the Father who created you and desires you so much so that He asked His Son, Jesus Christ to give His life up for you?   Did you realize that Jesus had a choice?  Well, He was given a choice but to Him there wasn’t one because of His love for the Father and for us.  It is not that God did not love His Son; for there was no other He was prouder of.  It is because He wants us all together for eternity and Jesus is the only way.

Check your attitude!   How is it expressed?

Here are examples I read somewhere before and would like to share with you:

Adoration is expressed in praise

Gratitude is expressed in thanksgiving

Repentance is expressed in confession

Neediness is expressed in dependence

Submission is expressed in surrender

Commitment is expressed in obedience

How are you doing?   Time to check our attitude!

1/16/09                   Arise and Shine for the Spirit of the LORD is upon you

Arise and Shine for the Spirit of the LORD is upon you.   Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things will be added unto you.  Call upon the name of the LORD and He will share with you the mysteries of Himself.

Isaiah 60, 61, Matthew 6, Jeremiah 33

Another Great Year Ahead    2009 – HAPPY NEW YEAR

A time of surrender, complete surrender.   No more sitting on the fence.  Choices must be made.  You are in or you are not.   Many trials this year; most of them are trials extending from years past that will come to an end this year.

Trigger; what will be the trigger to bring it to an end?

The Son Light!

Focus, Focus, Focus on the Lord.

God will not take a back seat.  He allows no one to steal His glory.  You are His glory.  He allows no one to steal you away.  Be sure, be confident.   Decide, decide, decide   There is much to be done.   Every day is a day of preparation to fit you for the next step.   No matter what you do or are doing, it is a work in progress to set foundations for the future.   Tomorrow is the future.  You have been in seasons of preparation.  For many this year is bringing the preparation of these past several years to a culmination for you to answer the call He has placed on your life and be established; to a specific office, to a specific ministry, to a market place ministry, to one of the seven mountains to be an infiltrator bringing His Kingdom in its fullness.  Changes, changes, changes occurring this year.  You thought you had it all organized, all set on your calendar but God has a better plan, He has a greater agenda, He will take you step by step and you must trust and have faith.  Without faith we cannot please God.  It is in faith He will move us and accomplish the work at hand.  Do not be frightened by the words of this world through the media.  Storms will rage, economies will fall, War has begun.  It is the times.  Christ told us to look at the seasons and be able to discern them.  Can you see this?  Can you discern this?   Do not be alarmed for God is still in control…In His Kingdom there are no storms, the economy is always at its best and there is peace.  Declare this….His Kingdom on Earth. 2009 the Roman calendar is 5769 the Hebrew calendar, the cycle of authority.  We must understand the authority we have and we must operate in it.  When the things of this world come at us we must be able to take stand and bear up under the force coming at us.  The LORD says in Scripture that no man has been tempted beyond what he can handle for the Lord will always provide a way for him.

1st Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Stand up, persevere, for your victory is near and it is tangible.   Stand up for victories in your home, your family, your work place, your finances, your health, your ministries.   Stand up and take hold of the gifts given you, hospitality, creativity, healing, caring, prophecy, arts, journaling, teaching, or whatever it may be.  You know the gifts you have been given and if you don’t it is a must that you find out and see them cultivated and strengthened to be used in the body to reach the multitude for the harvest is ready, it is full, it is ripe and it is waiting for us to come and reap.

Matthew 11:12

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.
